BSNL Rs 249 FRC Plan: All You Need To Know?

The Govt-Owned telecom operator, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), has introduced a new first recharge coupon (FRC) plan priced at Rs 249, especially for new users. The plan is available throughout PAN-India, which means location is not an issue. It seems to be an expansive FRC plan when compared with the previous Rs 51; however, there’s a lot of difference when it comes to benefits. So let’s take a look at what the plan offers, or is it a good choice for new users?

BSNL Rs 249 FRC Plan Details

The plan offers 2 GB of high-speed internet daily, unlimited voice calling, and 100SMS/day along with the service validity of 35 days. Once the users have consumed the 2GB data for the day, the internet speed will be reduced to 40kbps and will be renewed the next day.

The only drawback that comes with the plan is its only available to new users. It means that users need to have a new connection if they want to enjoy the benefits of the Rs 249 plan. However, users can also recharge with the Rs 225 plan, which offers almost the same benefit.

Both plans offer the same benefit, but there’s a slight difference in their service validity. The Rs 225 comes with a service validity of 30 days, while that of Rs 249 provides service validity of 35 days. In both plans, if the users have crossed the FUP limit of 2GB/day, then the speed will be reduced to merely 40 kpbs.

Keep in mind that Rs 249 is a First Recharge Coupon Plan, while Rs 225 is a simple basic plan, which means anyone can recharge it without the need to have a new connection. Besides that, users can recharge this plan irrespective of their location and telecom circle, as it’s available throughout PAN-India.
