Pace Digitek Subsidiary Gets BSNL Contract Worth 95 Crore

The state-owned BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has awarded a Lithium-ion battery supply contract to Lineage Power Private Limited(a subsidiary of Pace Digitek Limited). The contract’s estimated value is around ₹95 crore, aiming to enhance BSNL’s energy storage infrastructure throughout the whole nation. The lineage power will supply more than 20,000 lithium-ion batteries rated at 100AH/48V, especially designed for both indoor and outdoor deployment.

The battery module capacities will vary from 300 AH to 1,200 AH, as per the operational requirements of sites, depending on the diverse climate conditions. It’s a 5+5-year AMC contract, which means that the company will provide a 5-year comprehensive warranty, plus a 5-year Annual Maintenance Contract(AMC). The additional AMC will ensure that the company has a reliable power infrastructure to run smoothly over a period of time.

As per the government orders, all the critical material supplied to the teleco’s needs to be registered on the Trusted Telecom portal to safeguard the nation from a possible cyber warfare either by China or any other nation. The sole purpose of the Portal is to make the Indian Telecom Market cyber warfare-proof with genuine parts that are either manufactured in India or imported from a friendly nation except China.

In fact, the major Chinese vendors like ZTE, Huawei are already barred from entering the Indian Telecom market, on account of spying as a serious national threat. Recently, India has demonstrated its capability by deploying a fully functional 4G Network using purely indigenous technology. Now we are in a list of a few selected nations that can deploy a fully functional network without any help from external vendors.
