4G Reaches Every Corner of India by June 2026: Jyotiraditya Scindia
In the 21st century, with the advent of AI(Artificial Intelligence), 4G Network connectivity is no longer a luxury. Not being able to use either 4G or 5G connectivity feels like you are missing something in life. To be true, it’s quite hard to think of a life without the internet. Everything from government work to everyday needs, apps like Blinkit, Swiggy, Ola, and Uber have become a part of our lives.
Every business needs profit to sustain itself and expand further, but when it comes to providing service in rural parts, the ROI for a private player is much lower compared to a city. However, things are changing for good, but the pace is way too slow compared to an urban or metro city.
The government-led initiative Digital Bharat Nidhi is also a great way to improve connectivity in rural areas and remote areas where private players don’t really want to invest. With more than 120 crore wireless(mobile) users, the 4G network hasn’t reached the whole of India, especially the rural parts, which have been left behind.
Jyotiraditya Scindia, the telecom minister of India, has said that ‘the Nation is witnessing an exponential growth in telecom user base and network connectivity under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’. Adding further to it, he also said that every Indian village will have 4G connectivity by June 2026.
The statement aligns with the 4G Network Expansion of BSNL, which has already deployed more than 98K cell towers and is about to finish the target of 100K BTS.
